This is the first time in my entire life that I,
John Lee
have played the piano for a congregation (trumpets roar)
and I have to put my hat down to you Crissy and other pianist
who done it over and over again
playin drums is comparitively simple
guitar is fairly more difficult
but piano is nerve wrecking
i never shivered so much before worship started
but thank God for those brawlers who made my piano sink in the wave of sound and dissapear all together
but it was my duty to start the ball rolling
there was 3 problems
1st: i couldn't read Khmer so the scribbles on the paper didn't really help me much in finding which part of the song they're singgin
2nd: i've not heard too many khmer songs.. sooo they're all new songs.. but good thing they're all fairly simple
3rd: my piano is only up till a grade 2 level
what on earth am i doing there......
well i've been practicin my skills of playin by ear and a bit by chords on the piano so i can do la
well i guess what lifted me through that time was a little prayer i did b4 the worship..
and the faith of a mustard seed
being in tune with God brings faith for His words bring hope
I of course didn't play very magically after that but i guess i did lead the worship properly
i do not want to boast in my achievement for this is 100% God's work with a lil practice during the week on my side
oh thank you all who have been praying for me...
lately i've been thinkin of the prospect of being a missionary
why?
well why not?
this mission trip has done a heck of a lot in me
I really haven't got any calling more prominent than this one to be a missionary
as Jim Elliot said
all we really need is a kick in the errr behind
well we'll see next time
but whatever is ahead of me
i am certainly not afraid
